Penn State cover-up years in the making

No one knows anything.  Records are missing.  Police have no record of interviews or reports.  Joe Paterno did what the law required.  Coach Sandusky was just “horsing around” with the boys.  Penn State is exempt from public information disclosure requirements. The Judge that released Sandusky on bail  has been removed from the case.  The District Attorney of Center County vanishes without a trace.  The State Police can’t (or won’t) comment

And on and on it goes.  We can look forward to years of this.  Joe Paterno  ruled Penn State with God like influence for decades. The lawyers are lining up on both sides.  The alleged crimes as bad as they are can’t be allowed to interfere with Penn State football and the millions of dollars it generates.

Justice for the victims of this sick culture of football and money is years away and might never be served.

Pennsylvania…..safe haven for perverts?

By now news of the child sex scandal at Penn State has made the front pages across the country.  Add this grim news to the still boiling scandals in the Philadelphia area Catholic church and you might wonder if Pa is a pervert friendly environment. 

This fiddling with and fondling of children is not a new problem.  In the Church is has been going on for centuries.  Penn State’s problems are part of the football program that is at least 11 years in the making.

The remedy for the Catholics is simple and could yield almost instant results.  My advise to the faithful is to go to mass…..go to confession…..say your prayers and  put empty envelopes  in the plate when offerings are gathered.  Trust me, even the Pope will notice.  Within weeks you will have the Pope’s attention and he will be asking the faithful what to do.

The remedy for Penn State is complicated by the politics of big time college football. Football in the Keystone state is even more powerful than the Catholic church.  The remedy however is simple.  First off…..Joe Paterno gets fired…..today.  Then cancel the rest of the football season, forfeit the remaining games and fire all the coaches, trainers and the athletic director. Honor the scholarships and get down to the biz of education.  The players can stay or transfer to a school  with a football program.  We will all be better off without the burden of training future NFL players.  Alabama is a much better place to train big guys how to play football. The weather is better down there…..and Football is one of the few things that people in Alabama have been able to figure out.

Hi all............been in the dark since the storm.  New work will be posted in the next couple days.  Don't forget to turn the clock back this weekend.....once a year we get the chance to go back in time.  Sadly we only get to go back one hour, a five year reset would be nice but that ain't how it works.

Round 1:
Critics of the OWS protests are baffled.  The dumb questions they are asking is proof positive that they have no clue what is going on. A phrase bikers coined a few years back explains today’s situation.  “If I have to explain, you wouldn’t understand”  Amen to that.  If you are so out of touch, so brainwashed or so stupid that you don’t know what the protests are about you have my sympathy.  I might add that you are going to hate the next part.

Round 2:
The bell for the second round rang when police began arresting protestors.  Charges range from disorderly conduct to arson and several other crimes designed to limit protesters rights are being dusted off and enforced.  The law enforcement action tells us that the protestors are starting to threaten business as usual.  Philadelphia protests have so far been orderly, peaceful and less than massive.  Even under these cupcake conditions the city claims the protests cost $15,000 a day in Police overtime. That bill will grow if the protests continue to grow.

Round 3:
The third round will be a test for the protestors.  Can they take the heat ?  Back in the day there were protests your parents and grandparents can tell you about.  They can tell you about snarling dogs, tear gas, formations of Police in riot gear, fire hoses and mass arrests.  It does not matter how peaceful and orderly the protests are, the more they disrupt daily life the more force will be used to control and end them. Nothing scares the powers that be the way people in the street can.

New weapons for modern times. The WWW, twitter, tweet, face book, blog, text, instant message, video, digital cameras, live feeds and cell phones allow for all manner of civil disobedience and social mischief.  Even Rupert Murdoch and his gang won’t be able deal with a few million pissed off people with smart phones.  Will the protesters take full advantage of these new weapons ?  And I wonder how the Tea Party crowd will react if  they ever discover they are being screwed just like everyone else.

Final Round:
How will this end?  Are the protesters tough enough and determined enough to really change anything. or are they just pissed off?  Time will tell.

Herman Cain’s 999 plan.

Folks long for simple and easy solutions to complicated problems.  Herman’s 999 plan is simple but it is also stupid and won’t work.  But it does have the support of simple minded Republicans that can’t do arithmetic, and of course the support of well to do voters with  superior math skills looking for a tax cut they could only dream about before Herman came on the scene.

That didn’t take long.  Only a few days since my post for “ready made art” a few of my Catholic friends are objecting to images of the Pope being disrespectful, unfair and etc.  First off the post and the images in question have nothing to do with religion.  What you believe or don’t believe is up to you .  Second…unlike the Bishops, Cardinals and Priests who have been issuing  meaningless apologies  for the abuse that has been covered up for generations there will be no apology from The Nally Boys.

The Catholic Church has provided a perfect model for the establishment and maintenance of a “Good Old Boy” network.  Frankly I don’t care if it is in Mississippi, New York, Boston, Philadelphia or Rome,  protecting the guilty  to maintain power  is wrong and all the prayers and promises don’t make it right.  Below are links to a few of the news stories reporting on the issue,

Ready made art

Ready made art for Christmas

                                  Small prints ready for clear coat.

 The past few weeks have been playing with  my new printer and camera. What fun  new hardware is….and,  by the first of October we will have a shop full of  new Nally Boys stuff .  We call it the new stuff “ready made art”.  Art you can afford,  delivered ready to hang on the wall or display.  You don’t have to  buy a frame….just put a nail in the wall and you are done.

The images are printed using Epson  Claria inks on premium presentation paper., glued to a wood block and protected with  two coats of clear acrylic.  These little beauties will last a long time. Larger prints  will be mounted on wood panels with a clear acrylic protective coat.

God…….please shut up !

Sorry, I don’t mean to be rude but this talking to God thing is getting out of hand.  It started off with all the TV preachers claiming they had gods ear telling us to send them money.  Who can forget Jim and Tammy and their amusement park for the Lord…..that didn’t turn out so good.

And the classic Jimmy boo hoo “my bad’ and blah sob blah.   Lately with Facebook and Twitter etal the God talk is almost nonstop ….. With all the conversations with Sarah, and Bachman and of course Rick Perry (exposed here on the Nally Boys) it’s a wonder God has time to rule over the universe and fight the evil doers.

There is even a dating service advertising on TV that God wants you to pay them to find your perfect Christian mate.
It’s only a matter of time until the Lawyers get in on the act and tell us to sue for Jesus and get our share of the money God wants us to have.

Folks snap out of it …… these people are not talking to god, it’s all made up.  They are just trying to get your money, with the economy as weak as it is these days the “God Talkers” are working overtime to get the few bucks you have left.

So…..when you go to church this week and say your prayers, tell God what these creepy scammers are doing and ask God to take their voices away.  There is no shortage of serious good works that need to be done and these folks are getting in the way of all us well intentioned citizens.
