There was a program on TV the other night about so-called “black holes”. A place where gravity is so great that even light can’t escape. But, that is the easy part, looking inside the black hole suddenly math doesn’t work. Try as they might scientists can’t use what they know to figure out what is happening in there. So a new set of rules is being developed to do the job. This is were the language gets as confusing as the math (that doesn’t work) quantum this and quantum that and reference to the “singularity” insure that not only agreement of what is happening impossible, but there are no tools to figure it out.

Well not to worry…….not only has the mystery been solved but also clearly explained by “Big Dutch” in a piece he titled Quarks and Quirks. So, if the string of infinities you get when you try to write the equation to explain it all are driving you crazy forget about it. Study Big Dutch’s Quarks and quirks and it becomes quite clear. Strange the way artists can figure things out that continue to puzzle science. Perhaps with a little more art education we would all be better off.
